From what I gather (I am trying to get some work done on my front bumper) Its a very time consuming task to rebuild fibre glass mouldings, its not really difficult to repair its just recreate the lines that were there before... sanding if you have put on too much resin is apparently very difficult.

This could be a load of bull that I have been fed but seems like it could be plausible.

Am tempted to have a go myself at some work on my skirts and bumper...

My repairs though are not in the same league as yours

Good luck

no not worse just got corners worn away due to too many steep slopes..

Hope you can get it sorted, keep us informed as to what happens and if you find anyone good at repairing fibre glass.

Good luck

my recommendation is this - do the 'out of sight' fibreglass padding behind the bumper and let it harden.

if you choose to fill - buy bodykit filler from Halfords (it allows some flex so dont buy bodyfiller). MIX IT WELL AND IN RIGHT PROPORTIONS - very important, cos if you rush and apply it too wet or apply it when it dries it wont work cos when you spray it the filler will fall out and the fracture lines reappear!!! If this happens you've doubled your work cos you'll have to scrape your old work out and refill and sand etc.

would recommend taking it to pro's for the spray job - it'll come up a treat!
