DamanC
silly question, but here is the logic You know when you seat in a passenger seat its more comfy right? well its because its worn less? Im just about to get my seats retrimmed so what i was thinking of doing is obtaining another set of seats and sending my passenger seat off as well as the obtained passenger seat to have a cow stiched to it. result = less worn cow attached seats I just want to check to see if its posible to attach the passenger seat to the electric base? there no different are they? Aerotop Dave
I would assume so - as you've realised the mounting points for the frame-to-car will be different, so you'll need to swap over the actual seat onto the frame, but I'd be surprised if the seat-to-frame points are different. But while you're at it, why not source a LHD drivers frame and then have two electric seats...?
SupraStar 3000
YES IT IS possible When I had my seats done at G&B thats that's exactly what they did. Unfortunaly I don't know the details as I didn't do it myself although my ass can vouch for the fact its alot more comfortable
Hermit
Thread resurrection alert Now that I have two pairs of seats, I'm looking at making the best possible pair I can from them... does anyone have any more detailed information that would help? It looks to me like the driver and passenger seat backs are the same, but the bases are asymmetrical - the outside bolster on each seat being wider. But functionally, I'm not sure that matters much Mr 3000 - is there a pic of your seats somewhere that shows the base?
Guest CoolsBlue
i have 2 sets of spare seats, the main seat detaches from the frame, should fit the same on the driver side frame, the base and back peice...
Hermit
Thanks, sounds like it's doable Just wondering how it will look in the end, with a passenger base on the driver's side. And if it changes the driving position at all...
