ok, ive tried my hardest to find a smaller expansion tank but i cant, ive tried all my local scrap yards etc. Currently my stock expansion tank is located where the stock air box used to be as i have HKS FMIC fitted, now i want to refit the stock UK air box i need to move the expansion tank or find a new smaller one. Could i use an oil catch tank as my expansion tank?

Depends on the catch tank . Idealy it would need to have an internal pipe that sits close to the bottom of the tank. Ie the stock expansion tank is not just for over flow when the engine gets warm ...the system will draw back into the rad from the expansion tank also...hence the level rises and falls...if the oil catch tank you are going to use has not got a pipe that goes from the top to the base then no.
