Hi everyone this is my first post on here so please be gentle. I have got myself a set of Focal 165V3 components for a very good price and I am just about to fit them this weekend.

Last weekend I sound dampened my doors, removed the old speakers, installed the Headunit, ran all the cable in for my amps and sub. I also replaced the rear speakers.

This weekend I plan to sound dampen the boot area and start my boot install. I also need to install my front components. I am putting the tweeters in the stock location on the dash in some little pods I am making . I have found the template to make the door mounts for the 6.5" mid bass speaker but what I was wondering is where should I put the 4" mid range speaker? Should I put it in the door next to the 6.5" speaker in which case do you think I would be able to modify the baffle enough to reach over and house the 4" speaker?

Can you suggest anywhere else I could mount it (I know this is asking for it but no rude replies please!)?

I really want to get these fitted as they sound amazing.

Snap!!

Ive had a set of these for a few months and have been wondering the same thing! I was thinking about placeing the 4" midrange speaker down in the kick panel where some people have installed their tweeters, either that or house them in the rear speaker pods??

It would be interesting to see how you get on with these...

Any luck with these?

I'm getting there. I think I am going to mount them above the door handle as it seems the only place I can get the clearance so it doesn't catch on the window mechanism. I am going to screw through the door panel and into a mdf mounting ring on the back of the door panel to make it as sturdy as possible. My doors are now sound dampened and the brackets for the 6.5" mid bass is made. Just trying to get my new speaker wire through into the doors. I have also made my tweeter pods for the dash and they fit just.
