Do you remember the weight of the Group C car Chris? (Just to save me searching)

 

the bi-plane wing was producing 7500lbs of downforce at 180mph, almost 30 times that of the supra at the same speed, lol...

 

I think the figures are for the whole car, not just the rear wing.

All road cars will tend to produce a small amount of lift at speed. A large amount of downforce in a road car is inherently dangerous.

Nobody is saying anything about LARGE amounts of downforce in road cars. But as you can see, they don't ALL generate lift!

Nice trivial site, but not really useful data at all. I think all the numbers there are all racing team's claim or theoretical figures and that doesnt even explain what the distribution of downforce is like, which is just as important.
