I have a jap GZ and a couple of years ago fitted a stereo unit from a UK car. The unit had no anti theft code installed and all has been fine, even though I have had to change batteries on the car a couple of times when the charge had run down with it sitting in the garage.
A couple of days ago, I went to start the car, but the battery had run down, so instead of fitting the spare charged battery, I connected a trickle charger to the car. I went to the car today and it started fine, but an orange light came up on the stereo and HELP in the stereo window.
Looking in the handbook, it says that HELP only comes up when there have been 10 attempts at entering the security code, but with my unit the security code function was disabled.
Any ideas anyone, or will I have to put myself at the mercy of Toyota

Well took it to Toyota today
Helpful girl at the dealer had all the radio codes but none for the Supra. She called the main office for the group and was receiving instructions over the phone as she was trying to unlock the radio. Took about 45 minutes in all, but the stereo is now back up and running :p
Cost of the job - FOC, so a big up to Dingles Toyota at Attleborough - thanks very much.
