My Ariel is a camera??

I'm confused , easily done I know but this is strange. Fitted my single DIN dvd player the other night but never noticed the electric ariel wasn't working. So after I realised this I did a search and read that I needed to splice into the pink/blue and black/red on the anttenna module in the dish. Done this and the ariel extends , superb!!!! ....... eh no because as long as the ariel is up the screen thinks its a camer input and brings on the camera screen!! :(
Now I tried attaching this to various live connections on the HU and still got the same camera display, I then took the feed off of the same supply as the lighter and it was exavtly the same so this rules out me stupidly using the wrong HU input.
Anyone had a similar issue or think they know where I'm going wrong?:shrug:

Just went out to the garage in the freezing cold to get the instructions to how mine is wired and realised that it is in my room upstairs in the warm. Anyway M8 my antenna is wired to a wire called P.Cont (power control) Mine is Blue / White. Hope this helps.

I remember seeing that one but don't think I tried it , that'll be my mission tommorrow!! :)

Let me know how you get on. I'm pretty sure that'll sort it. Oh yeah and there's probably a wire which is meant to go to the handbrake. This is to only let the monitor work when you are parked. (A safety thing?) Wire this to an earth point on the car and your monitor will work all day long.
