Fronts were replaced, and I think the squeeking is coming from the fronts. It's a bitch! Is there anything you can do to get rid of it? They were changed by Chris Wilson so I guess only he'll know! Or I can look when I finish work but not sure I'll know what I'm looking for! Bobbeh Posted October 11, 2005 Share Posted October 11, 2005 They're thin metal strips on the side of the pad that sit between the pad and the piston... you may not have had them on before so he may not have had anything to put on... but a lot of people thrown them away anyway. supRo Posted October 11, 2005 Share Posted October 11, 2005 If you haven't got em, then yes you can get them from toyota. With the anti-squeel shims on, you don't need to use copper grease. Must admit when i washed my car very thoroughly the other day they didn't make an ounce of a squeek! Might just have to wash a bit more often, my car that is!!!! If it persists i will post you an anti squeal shim kit FOC, but i have only once had to use them with my fast road pads, and that was with someone using grooved or drilled 9can't recall which) Taiwanese discs. Give them a couple of hundered miles to bed fully, if it persists just ring me and I'll post you some off. Sorry you have this noise.
