Ok I have a 600w JBL amp that will be powering up a pair of Mac Audio DVD 10.2 4" Speakers, and will also be powering up Infinity Kappa 62.5i speakers.

Will the Mac audio speakers beable to take the strain of the amp? Couple of mates have highly advisied against it. But I will have them running on the lowest setting.
What do you guys think?

I don’t specifically know the items your talking about but......
Are all the speakers receiving the same output from the amp?
and I assume one is a 4" & the other a 6.5", both with different ratings??

If your running them with equal power to all then you'll be restricting the high rated speakers.
Better to have control over each set of speakers for their suited capability.
If you can t be arsed with that use some resistors in series or parallel with the lower rated speakers (note if the amp can run low/high ohm). Depending on your setup you'll have enough power (assumed) to easily run them all.

Its better to run a high output amp than a lower one.
More control and less likely to clip, which is likely to blow your speakers.
I don’t see a problem with it.

But, yes can you blow them, as you could nearly any amp or head unit on its own.

Need more info though :-)

As long as the amp settings are set up properly, you shouldn't have a problem.
