Hi Guys,
I've been very dissapointed with my single din pocket for quite some time, when I accelerate the contents of which usually end up in the back seat....but no more!
I decided to have a nose around to see what else I could get when I discovered a unit that belongs to a Subaru Forester. It has a silver lid that has a dampened sprung opening mechanism that's really nifty.
The part number for this is:-
S66128SA000
The item is:-
POCKET ASSY CTR.
The price including vat, postage and packing (delivered in a nice box to my home) is £16.04.
I haven't tried fitting it yet but it looks to be no problem with little fettling, all the holes etc seem to match the current pocket.
I got the unit from TH White Subaru in Cirencester on 01285 653354 and dealt with a chap called Nick. Most Subaru dealers I tried wanted a chassis number and refused to help if they didn't have one (sound familiar?) but this guy would take just the part number. It took about 2 weeks to arrive cos it had to come from Japan.
Don't ask for a Supra Owners Club discount though cos the answer is no (or was t me anyhow) ;-)
I've attached some photos too - I took the photo's with the unit upside down DOH - so just flip the photo around the right way up!!
Hope this is useful to you chaps, take it easy,
Paulie.
