Mods - if this is not really classed as Tech, please feel free to move it.

My mate needs to know if the Tacho Gauge shown in the attached pic will work on a Supra? If you looked at the fitting instructions, do you see any reason it wont?

So, other than the 2 comedians, does anyone else know if this will fit or not?

If he fits it in the middle of the dash he will block his entire view of the road lmao!

C'mon guys, whilst you or I might never think of putting one of these in our cars, the question wasn't related it's looks. This was a serious question posted on what is supposed to be the serious section of the board.

:p
Nick on ujcc was on about the coil connection, but I would of thought you could work with it... if thats a problem can you not pick up on it where the stock counter takes its reading? I can't see how it just 'won't work' but then I'm no expert.

The question has come from Nick. He has sold one of these ( heaven forbid) to someone who owns a Supra and their mechanic failed to fit it. He sent a replacement and they reckoned that wouldn't work either and gave numerous "technical" reasons as to why not.

Nick, like me, is not the most technical chap in the world so was hoping the clever people on this board could give an indication of any reason why it would not work if fitted correctly.

Someone else was wondering, PM and see if he had any luck in the end. It doesn't look like many have fitted one, not sure why

Can't see a reason why it wouldn't work you'd just have to select the right ign line...Ian C could probably tell you which one...
