Ok Ive been told that my front brake disks may have warped due to a damaged front hub..

I doubt it but Ive been told they should be checked...

How much am I looking at for a new set of front hubs? Do I also need new bearings. ?

:faint:

im pretty sure that the hubs were around £160 each iirc. yes you will need new bearings
how does a damaged hub warp a brake disc? i can only see that being true if the face was deformed in some way

Thats exactly what I was thinking ? Sounds VERY unlikely to me !

Anyway t6he warped DBA's are going back.. YES being returned under warranty! Amazing.. As long as my HUBS are not damaged which I highly doubt I guess Im going to get a new set! :ecstatic:

Makes a nice bloody change!

hi guys, this warped hub thing is very likely,i cooked my brakes on my first trackday replaced discs, pads, lines and fluid and the disc run-out was worse changed the discs again, exactly the same turned out hub flanges warped ,took the easy option out and got the discs skimmed on the car-sorted.only prob is when the discs are worn out need to do job properly, cheers num.

Why dont you put an Ad out on the breakers websites.. I got offered a pair of rear hubs for 150 quid.... or do they have to be new. If you need new, speak to Jeff at Champion Toyota in Texas, he is very good at gettign stuff to you quickly, and he is good at seasonally adjusting the price for customs purposes, or better still why dont you get work to do that postal thing for you again...

I've got a pair of front hubs, but they are the non ABS type. PM me if you are interested.

forgot to mention ,you can always get your existing hubs machined if you know anyone with a lathe or a local engineering place they will only have to take a couple of thou off to sort your runout and be alot cheeper+use your existing bearings if ok.

Is ther ea difference? Are these hubs from an NA supra?

Yes, there is a difference between the ABS and non ABS type. The ABS ones have a hole machined in the knuckle for mounting the ABS sensor and there is a toothed rotor internally.

Hubs from NA or TT are identical - you just need have the ABS ones if your car has this system.

Mine are from an NA Non-ABS. I'm looking for about £60 each.

Well that all depends if you still want your ABS to work! ... Strip it out and save weight! ... Then buy my hubs;) :)
