Hi all,
Ditching the old original double din stereo in favour of one of these: :blahblah:
Sony CDX-F7710 (in Black). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2005-NEW-Sony-CDX-F7710-mp3-CD-car-tuner-stereo-F7700_W0QQitemZ5813879704QQcategoryZ39763QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Pioneer DEH-P80MP http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PIONEER-DEH-P80MP-CAR-RADIO-STEREO-CD-MP3-7-SPEAKER_W0QQitemZ5811238495QQcategoryZ39762QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Pioneer DEH-P70BT(the one with bluetooth connection).http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Pioneer-DEH-P70BT-CD-MP3-Player-with-Bluetooth_W0QQitemZ5811080388QQcategoryZ39762QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
The question is, what have you guys done with the other din space, besides leaving an empty shelf? can you fit gauges in there?
Look forward to seeing your careativity.
Dan
I've got a boost controller on my 'shelf'!
I take it you want more than just a nice cubby hole?! :) If you want the cubby hole, Toyota do one for about £15. Search on here for the part number.
HKS do a DIN sized gauge holder that takes 3 small gauges - hard to get hold of now I think though. Other companies probably do similar items, the only one that springs to mind right now is this:

3 x 52mm gauges, quite a tidy and useful way to fill the hole.

Thanks :)
see this thread for info regarding the dials:

To be honest I haven’t seen or know any details on the P70 so
can’t really comment. However, I have recently bought that P80
and I'm impressed with its performance and looks, although I
keep selecting the audio settings when quickly changing songs which is a pain in the ass. Still gets my vote tho :)

Did mine with 6mm MDF, filler and then sprayed the whole dash..!! There is a pic knocking about on here somewhere, will try and find it..!! But I like that 4 dial panel idea, but would have to mount my boost controller elsewhere..!!

Top Job
I have this neat little a storage case in my second din slot, cannot find it for sale anywhwere though. Its a Pioneer Carrozzeria RD-L110 case with two little analog sound level displays. It was in my mr2 turbo when it came over from japan and kept it for my supe.
Pics aren't that great they were taken at night on my phones camera.
