Make one! I had real trouble finding a decent slim sub, so I made one to house 2 * 12" 700w RMS In-Phase XT12's - sounds great :D

All you need is a jigsaw, a drill, glue, sealant, internal wadding, a port, screws, terminal post and some cloth...

lol it's easy enough but takes loads of time unfortunately! why not give it a go?

I did consider the Infinity Bassslink-T as a ready made example - it's active too. Not as good as a custom box and seperate amp but not bad for something you just plug in and go...

I made mine too. It's not difficult as long as you don't cut your finger off half way through the job.
[edit] - You should work out the optimum volume for your sub too - each one is different and will have a min / max air volume. Min means tighter bass.

well it would work, it wouldn't be optimal and it might "boom" a bit, beeing smaller - but it would be better than nothing as a short term measure.

you would have to make sure it was sealed up again properly though otherwise it's going to sound nasty...

The volume thing isn't too hard, either the manufacturers provide details or they provide the parameters - I have a spreadsheet program that can calc the required internal volume, port size and length etc for a desired frequency response.

You can see my desperation just for any kind of sound lol !!!

I may just cut it up and see what i get at the weeked, its an old box any way so wouldnt make that much difference if it doesnt work out !! :)

go for it! Silicone sealant works well to make it airtight again, put some on the inside of the assembled box (through the speaker hole if you can) at the joints (and run finger over it to seal it) and allow to dry before fitting the speaker back in - should do the trick :)

Smaller boxes usually equals smaller subs, I run 2 boxes that are under 1 foot squared, but then I only run 8" subs. I also make sub boxes etc, so if you get really stuck let me know.

I think mine came out around 2 cubic feet or so, it's rather undersized (space limitations) but it's overcome to some extent by porting and brute force with a 1kw class d amp :D best I could do without making some serious changes to the boot, this is all easily removable and still leaves half the boot space.
