A-pillar pods...which one?

i have the miami-gt dual gauge one which replaces the stock trim

it comes in a state where you have to bore out the holes for your gauges so you can choose 50mm or 60mm

very pleased with it, my comment being that it only just reaches where it goes over the door so you have to be spot on when fitting it

fitting can be done with adhesives etc but i chose to go for a couple of black screws, one which fit snugly into an unused thread on the a pillar and the other a self tapper into one of the metal fixings that the stock item clipped onto

i figured this way i wouldn't have to re-stick it all back on if i ever needed to get to the gauges or re-wire etc

i'll take a pic tonight & post it up for you if i get chance

thanks for that wez :)

i too have one (ebay purchase) and was having the dilema of how to fix it in position. wez, how did you manage to drill a hole exactly where you wanted it?

Any other ideas as to how peeps ahve attached theirs?

i positioned mine where it would be fitted..and had previosly stuck some sticky paper tape to the underside roughly where the screw would go and screwed the screw in the hole...when happy with the positioning i took some white correction fluid and painted the top of the screw....pressed the pod home and there was my drill mark

the correction fluid wipes of the screw when dry.

The pod is held in at the top without an extra screw.

make sure you get fitting perfect tho...cos i have two holes...the first went wrong!!! :swear:

Make sure you save the plastic lugs from the stock a pillar cover, so you can glue them onto the fibreglass Miami-GT offering as they do not have any.

This is what I did and they fit fine, use some black insulating tape to cover up the gap between the pod and the a frame.

Let me know if you want some piccies of mine!

The best one is from Lotek

http://www.gaugepods.com/

They custom make one for you.

They even paint it in the Original Supra color.

I paied $69 including shipping to my door.

BUT it was for my LHD supra.

So you gonna have to ask them if they make for RHD.

I can get you some pictures of mine, when i get back from work.

I have a Full Pillar Pod, 3x60mm.

It replace the original part....really sweet setup.

Yeah pics would be good mate. They look good on the web site. Did you have to mess about with glueing clips and stuff on?
