Right, I think its about time us Bracknell workers have another lunchtime meet up :D

The last meet had a great turn out, especially with all the new members there. As we seem to be growing in numbers every month I think its time we have another one before summer officially ends

What’s everyone's preferred dates? Let's start with Fri 30th September... other suggestions??

The Golden Retriever (Same place as last time) had some great food, but I'm sure a few of you locals can come up with some other options! There's a few good ones in the Wokingham area, but can't recall the names right now :innocent:

Any day is good for me but, will only be in the soop if it's a Monday or Tuesday....otherwise I'll be in the scoobyvan - Mystery Machine Scooby, not Jap version :D

Count me in, and I'll be at this one and all...

Would love to, but it's just a little bit too far from work for me I'm afraid :scare:

You're welcome over to Chertsey sometime though :D :D

Cheers, J

I am tempted, but my work chains often don't extend beyond my desk. Perhaps once a date has been decided I could potentially have a dentist appointment...............:D

The Golden Retriever, is good... you will have to get there early on a Friday better off with a Thursday..

I'll try my best to make it either day.

Cheers G

Fridays would be better for me, as I wouldn't have to invent a dentist appointment as I only work half days........................:D

But then again I am due a dentist appointment.

Fridays are mental at the pubs round Bracknell as theres only about 3 that are any good, LOL!

I should be able to make it, christ knows if I'll be in the GTR, SX, 205 or on the bike though  :D

I would love to, but as with all stupid American companies we work quarterly and Friday 30th will be my most crucial day...... need to earn the money to keep the Sup running !!!

To be honest any mid-day week meets would be tricky. Well up for any out of `school` hour activities though!

I'd love to be there - there's a chance that I might have to be in Trinidad that week on business - if so I'll just have to cancel it...

Maybe not then - I'll know more closer to the date, count me in for now

Good call Ray, lets decide a date. I can't figure out how to open a poll (anyone else know??!), but how about these dates:

Thursday 29th Sep
Friday 30th Sep
Wednesday 5th Oct
Thursday 6th Oct
Friday 7th October

I think that Thuursday 29th looks like the best date so far...

irfan_habib

It turns out that I can't make next week anymore.

Wed 5th and Thu 6th Oct are good for me...

Homer Dude :D & Supra People

I have created the poll for you here (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=47787)

I had the help of Supragal for the paintball poll........ Thanks Rosie :)

But basically you start a thread and at the bottom there is a tick box to create/allow a poll. Then you type up your new thread and submit that then it will take you to the poll section and off you go. Hope that helps dude :)

Cheers,
Ray

PS - This is a public poll and you can choose more than one option - 5 in total :)

Will you be staying at the Golden Retriever?
I was planning on making it for the whole thing but may not be able to leave work for more than an hour or so as have some last minute meetings. I reckon I should be able to pop by for a bit though...

Last time a few of us were there for over 3 hours :)

Most likely those that have flexible work hours will stay around for a while... If you're not able to turn up until later give one of us a call... Will pm my mobile number.

See you all tomorrow :)

Golden retriever pub??

Sorry being a bit lazy today to read the entire thread again *grin*, whereabouts is the golden retriever from my office building (Siemens House)

Homer
06-10-05, 11:16
Yes

Heres the place: http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=485462&y=166018&z=1&sv=485250,166250&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf

You know that streetmap has left me none the wiser, I'm good with wires and I can wire in a sat nav, but reading maps well leaves a lot to be desired... I'll find it one way or the other.... if you see a blue zafira driving round aimlessly just wave at me and smile as I go past for the 10th time *grin*

upto my eyes in it today, sorry chaps!

Homer
06-10-05, 11:28
lol!

From the twin bridges roundabout, head down the carriageway towards Great Hollands, go straight over the 1st roundabout you come, at the next roundabout take the 3rd exit, keep going until the final roundabout and take the 3rd exit again. The pub is about 100 meters down on the left, the entrance is quite hidden though.

Really annoyed that I get to miss out on things like this! Damn my working life!

Would have loved to have caught up with you all, especially as there seems to be loads of Supra owners in Reading and surrounding area for some reason?

Does anyone know why? Has anyone taken a poll to see how many owners there are in Berkshire?

Homer
06-10-05, 18:26
Nice to meet you all again today :) Seems like ages since the last meet!

VIL, I think it due to the high number of IT workers in the Thames valley, why IT workers almost always go for sports cars I don't know!

VIL
06-10-05, 18:33
I think your right! I work in IT and I know you do, must be something in the blood!

After a hard day slaving over a hot PC we need to find that escape from it all!

SkyJawa
06-10-05, 23:17
Nah - Homer doesn't slave over a PC he sits at home supping tea ;) :p :D
