where can i get one from to fit a single din stereo into my j spec i have seen ones that give u a compartment under the stereo
I got mine from halfrauds...
Yep, as Heck' says........Hall'ys
Normally stamped up as a VOLVO thingie (more COMMON than the Soop ?)
it's actually a multi-fit one with instructions to fit numerous cars
It screws in the bottom half of the support "cage" and the Single-Din Head
Unit SCREWS to the top half.
(you probably already know/knew that......... SORRY  )
FatS.
Actually it can in the top or bottom of the support cage. I've swapped mine around a couple of times.

heres mine
True, just more common to put unit in the top ?
Doesn't that tend to put the CD slot too low (in an AUTO that is, probably
not such a prob' in a manual ?!?)
PLUS, when (NOT "IF" :p ) the stuff FALLS OUT of the slot, it's got less far to FALL ! ! ! ;)

Wayne, you have a few options, CD draw type like seen above, 3 gauge DIN panels can also be found. Shame you just had your dash done, or you could have filled the bottom DIN and then painted over the top. Maybe add a few switches in there, for say some footwell neons ;)

I got the Volvo fit one for mine took 10 mins to fit and looks good, just went to halfords and they gave me that one said it was a universal DD unit !
does anyone know the exact one i need from halfrauds
Autoleads FP-006 Halfords ~ £14.99 or others have used the FP1101 ~£25
Search is your friend ;)
Last time I tried at Halfrauds I was informed I'd have to cut the dash to make it fit. I simply stared at the chimp in disbelief.
