Headlight Induction Conversion

Get a really big powerful laser link from a Mech Warrior or something. Line it all up in a Black and Decker Workmate (use a spirit level! - You don't want to hit it at an angle!)

Then pow! - Fire a nice neat cut laser hole straight through your light.

Don't forget to remove the light from your car first of course... and don't stand behind it.

I asked the owner of that car how it was done.. its a bit tricky to make it look good...

- find some plastic pipe approx the same size as the main beam light

- remove the main bean light and cut back enough plastic so the pipe goes in

- start cutting one end of the pipe at an angle, so that when it is inserted it comes flush against the back of the plastic headlamp

- with a marker pen draw a line around the area where the pipe meets the plastic

- Carefully(!!!) cut the hold in the headlamp where you marked it out (This can be done without splitting the unit apart, but would be easier if you did.

- Fix the pipe in place at the rear with some glue (eg. Araldite)

- Trim up and tidy the front. He had glued some plastic trim over the rough edges

If anyone is interested i have a pair of facelift lights refurbished with the induction hole profesionally made, if there is enought interest as people dont want to attempt this as they could cause damage/mess-up their own lights i can offer these on an exchange or non-exchange service. It is a complicated and risky procedure and as far as im aware they are fully legal and you will still pass your MOT with them in.
