cd changer

i now have a uk 95' supra with the clarion disc changer....... with the cd magazine missing!!, i have a spare kenwood changer but no lead for it!!?, can the origional lead just plug straight into the kenwood changer?? or am going to need to get a kenwood wire installed from the head unit to the boot??
