View Full Version : Time for an Oxon Meet
I thought that it would be good to have an Oxon meet again before CJ sells his car! So please choose a date thats good for you. I thought either a Sat or Sun and perhaps someone could suggest a venue.
The reason for the limited choice of dates is because of my shifts!!
So get voting and hopefully we'll all get together.
This sunday would be best for me! My brother is visiting from belgium and I'm sure he would like to check out the local supe's :)
Any dat but this saturday I wouldn't mind tagging along

...and preferably in the morning or evening. I want to watch the F1 race :)
I will be there and am easy on the venue
So shall we say 3.30pm onwards on Sunday 11th ....at the mayflower ph opposite The Rose revived like last time then?
I think I'll tag along if that's ok?
Do you have a postcode so I can use the trusty (sometimes not!) sat nav
:)
Cheers,
Ro

The Mayflower PH is opposite the Rose Revised PH which can be found here (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=440000&Y=202500&width=500&height=300&gride=440395&gridn=201428&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=pc&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=OX297QD&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&zm=1&scale=100000)
The postcode is OX29 7QD
I hope the weather is better than today :(
I wonder if its worth giving the car a rinse?
I wonder if its worth giving the car a rinse?
Looking out of my window at the moment, I reckon it will have a good rinse anyway!
Sadly I shant be there, my car wont be back on the road until tomorrow :(
Next time.......
Good to meet everyone today  A nice turn out with Jeff R, Lez (and his lady wife), Clarkey (and his Dad), Class one (Dug), Marco and brother, and Belly.
Don't think the Landlord was all that happy about us using his carpark tho' reminds me to ask him next time!!
Cheers for the ride Col, one word AWESOME!!!!
My pleasure Dug...I hope your spine gets better soon :D
Good chatting! Shame about the not-so-great weather. Next time, I reckon a Karting event would be good.
Deffo, I'll have to lose some weight for that one then! :D
There's a decent Karting track in Wroughton. It's an indoor circuit in a warehouse. It's a tarmac surface - maybe 500 meters. Nice long straights and some challenging hairpins. The karts are gas & petrol powered.
Costs are I think £25 per person for 20 minutes .. if memory serves - for simple arrive & drive.
Mini Grand Prix events can be arranged for 8-10 people for £35.
Me and my lads would be up for another Karting session providing it was in the less powerful ones (this due to an age restriction on Joshy and not me being a wuss). :D
Depending on when, me and Vix are interested
Doh! Completely missed you all, and I even drove over the bridge and saw a supe going towards the pub at around 3 oclock'ish.
Never mind, next time I'll try to be a little more observant!
