Last night I changed my SARD cone filter for the standard airbox and have noticed that I now can't hear my actuator anymore and the turbos are much quieter.
Is this normal?
I guess it's due to the extra plastic in the engine bay silencing things down?

Rogue, was that the only change that you noticed when swapping back to stock??

Yup, when I changed the Blitz SUS back to the stock airbox it was a hell of a lot quieter - peace perfect peace! :D tbh, those noises did my head in after a while.

I found that there seemed a bit more 'oomph' lower down the rev range too.

It's not your actuator you can hear, its your stock re-circ dump valve sending air back into the system.

Put a K&N panel in the box and you should be able to hear the re-circ again

I thought a dump valve was an actuator?
Glad it's normal.

No other change noted so far. Seems a little less "snappy" maybe, but generally smoother. To be fair it's not been driven long enough to fully test it.
