having got a set of uk brakes for the front of the car i really could'nt justify the same outlay (or afford) for the rears but was keen to ditch the bothersome sliding caliper single pot jobbys on the back of a J-spec, the solution came when i was in my mates garage who has a 300 zx and i spyed a set of rear calipers lying around, as luck would have it these are opposing 2 pots to fit a disk that is exactly the same dimensions as the J-spec rears, i realise these wont be as powerfull as UK brakes with the bigger rotor diameter but they should give an improvement and just as important get rid of the sticky rear calipers, unfortunately the mounting holes were no where near so a plate was needed, a very kind chap made them for me on the CNC miller at work, i did think about making these as a kit to sell on the board but the local machine shops wanted £100 for the pair then you would have to source the calipers from a breakers then the seals (£60) then the pads which is getting into second hand UK prices, if anyone wants the dimensions of the mounting plates let me know and i'll post them up
please forgive my weakness for red paint but its to match the fronts honest
