I have bought an a new 2005 Alpine IDA-310RB Head Unit and have a quick question if anyone else has one or similar unit..!! Where did you fit the to parking brake wire ?, I know on the older unit you could just put it to an earthing point, so the DVD playback was on all the time, but that does not seem to work with the newer units..!!! Does that wire need a constant positive feed or a negative one.??? Help please..!!!

Dont worry it does work, the connection was not tight enough..!!! All working now

hi mate - i have the same head unit - do you have Nav also?

Nope Nav was another £800..!! So thought id skip it for now.

got my whole kit for 1600 - screen and nav

Paid £800 for the unit, so would have worked out the same..!! little more expense than i wanted though.!
