Anybody got pics to hand of the aerotop roof section when it's IN the back,

and/or the fixings in the back with the roof section NOT in there ???

Want to get a feel of how much room there is UNDER the section and where

"clamps" are mounted to etc.

[OR... how many "Aero"-heads don't even USE the clamps any more ? do you

just sling it on back seat ? in a bag ? etc etc]

:help:

No, No, good start "Faye's Brother" ( :) ).

That means the "front" mounts are on the Solid bit either side of the rear

seat ? and i'm hoping the rears are mounted to the BACK of the boot (?)

Soooo, in theory you can remove the Spare/Polstyrene Bits etc and have

SOMEspace below the Roof Section for a minor bit of shopping....

......OR......a teeny weeny Sub-ie Poohs ?!?!?

[ BTW Did they actually DO an Aero with Tan/Cream leather ? or is it UPgraded ?..

..LURVVVV Tan Leather.....you *$%@&* :D ]

thanks . . . .

Yep, the rear clamps are mounted on the back part of the boot frame.

Reckon there'd be a small amount of space underneath the roof when it's stowed if you remove all the gubbins underneath the carpet.

Not a standard interior, by the way. Fortunately, Scooter (the previous owner), has impeccable taste and left me with a UK interior which makes for a very nice contrast with the colour of the car.

If you don't get inundated with replies in the meantime, I should be able to get a few more pictures of the boot area tomorrow.

I have a made to measure sub box in my spare tyre well that sits exactly in the area under the carpet in the boot. If someone doesn't offer me some reasonable money for my car soon as is I'm going to start flogging all the extra's like this box. As far as shopping in the boot under the roof goes I wouldn't bank on getting much under there really, Just sling it on the back seats. You'll find a gibson and boyne re-trim just the ticket if you like a bit of alcantara or tan leather :) Oh thats something else I'm consider part ex for a standard set of leather seats.

Wasn't worth the wait, I'm afraid! Forgot to take a picture when all the rubbish was removed from the boot, but hopefully this one will give you an idea of the space between the rear clamps and the boot floor, i.e. not a lot and certainly less than I thought there was from memory.

Nice one(s) lads

So it clamps fairly low at the back, but reasonably high at the front.

I'm sure i'll be doing SOMETHING under there OK.

(REALLY hate the space-saver anyway, and can keep the tools/jack in there

WITHOUT the poly-bits)

Can't wait to "fiddle" now :D

Ta again everyone.
