If you're used to fast cars, even the TT feels a bit sluggish in stock form, especially the auto.

I can only imagine what a n/a feels like (the horror, the horror....lol, only joking...)

For fun driving I'd take the NA auto over the TT auto anyday. I find myself wafting around in the TT auto, whereas the NA just seems to be a bit more "playful".

I enjoyed every minute of my N/A. Sadly i had a lot of problems with my TT but that could have been down to a bad example or bad luck.

Some people dont see the point in buying an NA, but for someone who maybe cant afford the insurance of a TT / doesnt want turbos / or just wants some cheaper fun with the same looks, the NA is fabulous.

My red N/A never missed a beat in the 11 months i had it, more reliable than my TT, my R33 GTR Skyline, and both of my Lancer Evos by a long way. And it got more looks too.

Car in the ebay advert looks nice, just be sure to take someone with you who knows what to look for as there are a lot of folk out there who would sell u their mother if they could get away with a profit. ;)

Happy hunting and have fun when you get one. The NA is just as good fun.

Mine's an SZR (slightly lightened 5-speed manual derivative), weighs 1400kg (about 150kg lighter than a TT). Mods: aftermarket exhaust, double decat, HKS induction, Tein suspension. My best drag times were at Elvington, very grippy runway on brand new Eagle F1 GS-D3s, running optimax + millers. At Pod I've only managed 14.9, but have always found it slippery and had to launch at much lower revs.

SZ autos seem to have much slower quarter mile times, probably due to their difficulty to launch. An aerotop will be a lot heavier than my car, so I wouldn't have thought you could beat your Celica's performance without spending thousands on mods (or adding nitrous). My car does 0-100 in around 17 seconds.

Nothing wrong whatsoever with the NA auto aerotops, mine was lovely... I however did the conversion and be prepared for a LOT of work if you do the conversion.

If your heart is set on an NA, then go for it, I've got an NA 5spd which is my drift car and it is absolutely amazing, yeah, might not be as quick as the TT's, but at bovingdon I was having great fun even if I was losing a lot of the time *grin*

Vectra GSI (new one) dead level

Porsche boxster - Dead Level he gave up as up his arse

Skyline GTS - Dead level, dead level all the way

GTO (with 1 exhaust) - Dead level, dead level all the way

Lost to: any tuned scooby or Skyline, porsche carrera, Audi TT (damn 4 wheel drive) if was on straight would of kept up with him

Ill make it clear im not beating cars above by much at all. Ohh im totally standard as well. So there is bout 20bhp i could release probably

heres a drag list of other cars i have done. seems like you wanting speed more than anything.but you picking a heavy supra non turbo auto. you going to need a bit of power against most cars due to the heavy weight you have to get going. maybe a torque convertor may help you been an auto.you will find many people have tuned cars even corsas.
