Robert
lately my car has had this annoying squeak comming from the drivers side rear wheel, it doesnt happen when the car is cold but after a 5min drive it starts to squeak. It squeaks with every rotation of the wheel and is so annoying. It wont shut up for the rest of the time im driving. makes the car sound so stupid any ideas what it might be? brake pads? wheel bearing? Gamer
My guess would be wheel bearing... Jack the car up and see if there is any play in the wheel.
BURT
does it do it under braking?

BURT
what sort of mileage you done matey, would have thought its prob your pads even if they aren't that old they could have picked up some shite or may need cleaning and some more copper grease on the back,
Robert
cars got about 110k miles on it.i'll get the pads off and check.
Whitesupraboy2
the brake pads have a indicator on it. when the pad gets low, this little peice of metal rubs on the disk causing a noise...like a squeak Check your pads and i hope your plesently surprised like i was! P.s this doesnt mean your pads are out of brake use.....so car still driveable. they just need replacing very soon
Robert
WSB2, my local garage checked the pads 2 weeks ago and they seemed fine so not sure if its because they are worn.....
Gamer
I am still sticking with wheel bearing
Robert
so if it was the wheel bearing would it squeak?
Gamer
Yup, the wheel would be moving slightly , when you push the brake the caliper would cause the disc to move and you would get slight squeaking. It would get worse over time. I had it with both my rear wheel bearings at different times.
Whitesupraboy2
I am with Gamer, if it aint the pads then it probably the bearing

Robert
not a bloody clue on the part number, PM LeeT he gave me the bits i needed as he had them spare. It was a little rod with an arrow head, and a spring.
