View Full Version : Driving me MENTAL !!!!!!!!!!
Hi everyone, right long story here goes, going to work the other day and no problems everything working fine stereo, amp etc then all of a sudden stereo blips off (dead) thorght maybe a fuse, checked the fusebox (engine bay right side) cant figue out the fuses but hey checked them all and they all seem to be ok, so maybe inline i think? so after just removing the whole dash and stereo to get to the wiring there is one inline fuse (orangey coloured wire) not blown i know this because it operates the interchanger (CD) and ariel i think in the back and is fine the changer still has power but all amps in boot (2) and head unit are dead and ive checked the red power line from back of stereo and theres no inline fuse to blow just a couple of resistors (one in red wire one in yellow) for some unknown reason inline that is but the power for the amps comes before this resistor so can't be that so anything im missing ? only im lost now, i cant see that the amps and head unit are all dead just very unlikely so please help haven't a clue what to do next

Have you checked the Fuses in the drivers kickwell?
no because im a PLANK ! didn't think of that, what a knob eh :) ile check NOW!
maybe im missing something here, i can't see any fuses in the kickwell except one 15amp blue fuse just sorta hanging up under steering wheel which is ok anyway? where are they?

YYYYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSSSS found the culprit a blown fuse everything working smoothly again, thanks you've made an misrable guy happy again :) :ecstatic:

Only thing left to worry about is what made the fuse blow in the first place... :(
i have similar problem i put new dvd in all wires are correct and checked but when i select radio the ariel wont work i have power from unit blue wire but none at ariel all fuses at footwell are fine what else could it be.?????

The Remote wire for your stereo and whatever else your using must be connected to the remote wire on the cars loom. Its happened to me.
