Well for anyone who had followed my previous head unit threads...

1. Stereo advice needed (includes photos!) (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=43067)
2. new head unit/facia, what should I order? (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=43871)
3. Pioneer head unit, quick wiring question (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=44822)

...I finally completed fitting the unit today! And it's pretty decent, compared to my last unit it's like a whole new world of sound! I read people being amazed from bypassing the Toyota amp, and this must be rather similar sort of improvement!

Of course there were a few things that went wrong:

I lost a screw under the carpet (but rescued it) :)
The supposed FP-11-01 pocket I got from http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk wasn't an Autoleads part but a nasty copy that wouldn't fit - now it's all scratched and so that's £24.99 down the drain! :swear:
The front clip on surround for the FP006 pocket (that I got to replace the other pocket) had two snapped locator pins, however the front has lots of other pins to connect it so that was okay! :p
The dash now sports a nice collection of new scratches

Regarding that last point does anyone know of anything that could be applied to the dash to tidy it up? When the monkeys fitted my alarm system they scratched the dash and put some black stuff on it which tidied it up a little... obviously there's the replacement/painting/covering parts options (I searched the forum!), was just wondering if there's any other options too?

Anyway, here's the picture! It's playing my band's demo CD (hehe!) and the coloured CDs are compilations I make for the car, called "Road Rage"...
