hi guys,

my friends just bought a stock j-spec supra, i mean STOCK!, stock airbox and exhaust both CATs in and all the rest. I just had a quick once over on his car and ive seen a big puddle of oil in the bottom of his airbox and the filter was oil soaked half way up, we cleaned it up and went for a drive and there was more oil there also there is oil dripping down on one side of his stock SMIC. Also his oil is completely cooked and there is a funny black sludge inside his oil cap, it feels all lumpy and is black.

Now i havent had a chance to look in his intercooler pipes to check for oil but i take oil in the airbox is a sign of the turbo seals on their way out and the cooked oil will need a change along with the filter, any ideas why the oil is there because the car only has 16,000 miles on the clock.

to be honest i wish he had of told me when he was buying the car but i was away, he paid £8k for the car and it completely stock, expect it doesnt have the stock rear wing  . The interior is worn just as bad as my 100K mile car so i thought something wasent right there. Its also a 93 model so the 16k miles sounded wierd. Not much sign of blue smoke but it was at 11 at night that i checked the car over so i couldnt really tell.
