Okay, got my Pioneer DEH-4700MP head unit and the PC2-17-4 connecting cable. However, the cable/connectors that come with the head unit have some options in them that are concerning me:

There's a blue & white split cable that can be connected together for connecting to an antenna control, but it warns "In another type of vehicle, never connect" these cables! So is it connect or not? I suppose I could try former and if no aerial action, connect them up!

Then there's the yellow and red cables for power, which say "depending on the kind of vehicle, the function of [these cables] may be different. In this case, be sure to connect [cables other way around]".

If anyone has rigged up a Pioneer to the default car connectors (the two white sockets) can you tell me whether the cable defaults are correct or not for the Supra?!

Cheers!

As for the power wires, you should be fine with them how they are, if you find the unit doesnt power on or you loose the presets everytime, then simply swap them. You wont do any damage if these two are the wrong way round.

BTW: Pioneer headunits have a permanent aerial UP location when the units powered.
I used a small rocker switch from Halfrauds in the glove box for power to the aerial.
ON/UP - OFF/DOWN

Darn, why didn't I think of that? I ended disconnecting the aerial motor completely!

Oppsss, sorry mate!
I've always wanted a "007 James Bond" style glove box with lots of little buttons and gadgets.
I have 7 so far.

1. Amp ON/OFF
3. Radio Amp ON/OFF
4. Base level control
5. Aerial ON/OFF
6. iPod ON/OFF and iPod
7. Ground to Air missiles

....ok, that last ones a lie ;)
