Very smart mate, here is a quick pic of mine, running all Audiobahn gear, with dvd player and second alpine amp under the amp and cap....!!
2 Blue LED power fans keep the main amp cool, they are housed in a perspec sheet the amp and cap sit on..!

yeah its all a bit bling..!! Does sound nice though, 8" subs make as much noise as 10's..!!
some tasty installs there.... keep em coming boys
robace- thats the type of install i had in mind. but i diddnt know if i could squezze 2 x 12in subs in that size box?
i think 12s would be pushing it like that, my plan was to have it so the boot cover still goes on, so them theving little barstards could not see any thing. if you wanted to go for 12s i think you could do it by mounting the subs flat level with the back seat and putting the amps in front.
i fitted mine my self so if you get stuck pm me.
rob
ps you should see them at night all lit by red neons
Rob - ive started building mine and ive got enough room for 12s (fingers crossed) . have you had any trouble with the amps over heating under that perspect ?
have you any more pics of your setup??
cheers
I'm still hoping to build a one like this...
http://www.wickedcas.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=40&sessionid=3895da38426d08859ab83e358065631a
It's a 10 inch sub.
The carpeted box including a JL 10" sub is $515 or thereabouts.
Dunno about shipping but how does that sound for price - approx £285
Heres a few large pics of my current setup :)

And...heres the step-by-step thread...on "how" and "why" etc. :)

Well I cant afford to do exactly what I want to do with the Smart just yet due to funds etc. But needless to say I also have a VTR1000 motorbike and live 6 miles away from Z cars ;)
Sorry for Hijack..

£5per meter from our local market.
Used about 6m including 2 cock-ups.
The pods around the subs are crinkle effect paint matt black that looks exactly the same as the leather style vinyl
thats cheap.. i was getting prices of £15 / £12 per meter... i managed to get some for £7 meter today
just need some amps now:ecstatic:

tape mesure, sketch pad and a pen.
I spent more time scribbling than building.
Then just :drown: dive in mate and start cutting MDF
