Fuel cut defence.

Ok, further to working out the reason for low boost (rubbish stock re-circ dump valve and hole in intercooler), i looked a little further into my unknown mods done before i bought the car. I have found a box wired into my ecu. It looks like an FCD, but some identification would make me feel better. It is labelled 'TRL vfcc'. Is this a fcd and is it any good??
