I think there was some kind of manual that explained exactly how all the different systems on the car worked, but I don't seem to be able to find it

Basically du to a dogdy connection in this plug, my TPS volts goes to the +limit. Luckily, there's a failsafe for this, but it does throw off the IACV, which thinks the car is out of the idle control loop, and parks the valve, which in turn revs the car up to the high idle value (Just under 2000 rpm - sounding familiar yet guys???)

I'm going to strip down the plug and make sure there's a good contact, but I want to cheque also that it's not a problem else where by measuring the voltages.

Cheers,

Tony

I recently posted a "how to" adjust the TPS in a thread on VVTi throttle problems...a quick search for something on those line should help.
