Need more details,
Year and model of Supra for starters...

If it's your average 93-96 TT then look at the Idle Control Valve it's probably in need of a clean and got stuck after getting really hot.

its a '93 TT manual. So where is this idle valve and how do i get to it/remove it?

I've found that if I disconnect the TPS the idle jumps to around 2000 rpm. If I wriggle the TPS it usually drops back down. I've got to find the time to strip it down and check what's going on.

Second picture from the left, top left of the piccy. Hope these help :)

Two bolts to remove, but you also have two heater hoses going to it's underside. You won't loose much coolant when you take them off but plug the hoses with a bolt or an allen key when you take them off anyway. It's not overly hard to take off once, as ever, you've done it before :)

Don't try and take the stepper motor off the housing as a) you need to clean it anyway and b) it's secured with Toyota Lead Screwstm which will mushroom the head way before actually undoing

Brake cleaner, toluene, something nasty - soak it in that :)

Apexi Power FC historically has poor idle valve control. When you say Apexi control, do you mean a Power FC ecu, or just the add on gizmo *rap?

I mean the who shabang, Apexi power FC Ecu, with hand commander.

Just do something for me sean, go out to your car, start it up and the wriggle the TPS sensor plug. If it jumps up then you'll know it's a dodgy connection there. If not, it's something to cross off the list.

You need the Datalogit box and software to get someone to set up the idling better, assuming there isn't a fault with the engine and its ancillaries. using the Commander is a waste of time, you never know where you are in the maps. I think Datalogit have just released the JZA80 software.
