Rltc problem ?

Hi all, have a wierd problem at the mo.

When accelerating from a standstill, am experiencing what feels like momentary fuel cut as it approaches around 3~5 mph. Only happens when using >40% throttle. Feels exactly like the launch control feature on the RLTC, but happens even with the RLTC switched to the off position. This is def related to speed as no sign of this over 10mph.

No error codes flagged, apart from this the car is performing superbly.

Any ideas?

What's your minimum speed and rpm thresholds set to? I had a funny cut occur around 2200ish rpm when my min rpm threshold was 2250 - changed it to 2000 and it's fine. I was thinking maybe the RLTC brain doesn't like a 50rpm number...

Ian, I fitted the rltc about 5 years ago, never even looked at the software as it worked perfect right outa the box. This problem has only emerged recently and occurs even when switched off. Does the rltc have any influence in the off mode? If it does, then i have the feeling this problem may have started around the time I switched from 17" to 18" wheels.

That'll do it I'd think, if the rolling radius is even slightly out from what the RLTC unit thinks it is you'll get spurious behaviour and it may not stop wheelspin at an important moment... It's easy enough to recalibrate though, :rtfm: :)

What's your fuelling like at the moment of hissyfit?

Ian, its hard to tell, its so momentary, but my wideband flashes lean (20afr) so I'm sure its fuel cut. It ONLY happens when flooring it from a complete standstill. Seems to cut twice, then at around 10mph no prob. Maybe dodgy fcd or speed delimiter i guess :(
