i have a j-spec tt completely stock, dealers i bought it off says its running 300bhp! but just got done by a "p" reg bmw evo should this of happened???

The M3 evo is supposed to have around 320bhp but i think they generally come out just over 300. Perhaps it wasnt standard? Depends what you mean by the word 'done'

its an auto, from 60-130 he was a good two cars length away!!! and yes he probably is a better driver

I'd expect that tbh, they're not slow cars by any means. And you're auto and up to high speeds hes getting more power to the road and you, probably shifting nicely too. He may have had it chipped too.

I was serious! If you've just bought the car you may not know about full kickdown yet (hence being beaten by the M3). I take it your car isn't BPU yet?

It's litterally just slamming your foot on the accelerator! It should gear down 1 or 2 gears and take off... give it a try on some dry road

one of me mates used to have an M3 evo. When mine was standard there was absolutely nothing in it. in 1st in early revs he pulled a little but i'd catch up when 2nd boost kicked in by 2nd gear it was evens up to 100.

i have a manual.

i done him at santa pod tho but i think he says he messed up. he got 14.1 @ 101 mph

I'll vouch for the smile-inducing ability of 'full kickdown'. Needed it to keep up with two GTRs on the way to TOTB. I'd forgotten my directions and would've been lost if they'd have gotten away!

it's like one of the old heavy-duty Guitar FX-pedals, right at the end of the accelerator travel. You can feel the button clicking, and you can see it covered by a rubber musroom if you look carefully.

On saturday a stock J-spec auto, straight out of auction dyno'd 240 rwhp.

If you are gonna use kickdown....also use overdrive

when you are about to go for it...hit OD button - sends the revs up so your boost level goes up,knocks you into 3rd and then you are just kicking down one gear....

Sounds a touch low on BHP for a TT. They are usally standard at about 320 330 BHP arnt they?

RWHP which im told is about right for a J spec auto. around 300 at the flywheel

E46 M3 Evos 0-60 4.8 arent they?? That should be enough to easily see off a stock auto supe (0-60 5.5 approx)
