My supe's been sat in the garage for a few weeks and the battery is completely dead, not a pip from the alarm upon pressing the remote or opening the door. Now I'm under the impression Clifford alarms have a back-up battery of their own in case the car's battery is disconnected; if this is drained too, will it need to be replaced or does it charge itself up off the car's battery? Should it be replaced routinely anyway?

Cheers in advance.

Check page 20 of the document below, from what I can see the backup battery charges itself from the car's battery but only when the ignition is switched on. I'd charge your car battery and then see what happens once the ignition has been run for a while.
