Breakdown insurance - recommendations

:complain:I've just spent 20 mins on the phone with a moron from direct line  about my breakdown cover renewal. He had only a partial grasp of the english language, quoted me 5 different prices and refused to accept that my 1993 car wasn't an '86 - '89 model :banghead: , so I told him to shove his policy up his ar$e :swear: and hung up. I've got 3 years NCB on breakdown cover.

Anyone got any recommendations? :thanks:

I had a similar problem with direct line. first two times I changed the car on the policy they didn't change the documents to indicate it was an auto (and hence I'd only really want it flat-bedded if it broke down).

I've joined with the RAC now having had appalling service from the AA (had to wait 3 1/2 hours once :O)

RAC too, Club Toyota.

Not sure if you can get J-specs on it but ever since I've owned Toyota's it's been £55 for the works.

I've used them once to pick up my Supra when the diff cooler pipe leaked and they sent a transporter suited to low cars. They picked it up from home with me and dropped it 10miles away at Toyota dealer then brought me back home. Top service and very helpfull.

norwich union brk is with RAC, but MUCH MUCH cheaper, and usually better cover! give them a call, honestly will save you cash!

:ecstatic: Good call - £53.43 for rescue/recovery/homestart. Beats the next best quote by over a tenner. Thanks for the advice :thanks:
