Hi,

I have successfully removed the left old boot rubber and replaced with a new - the right however is a different story - does anyone know how to get these off easily - I have heard that you can heat them up with a soldering iron, does this work?

Thanks,

Tom

tomssupra,

I done mine last month and last year....killed the supra I first had :p anyway.

make sure you have the poper screw driver which gives you all the necessary contact with the screw head. I had experience of destorying all the thread and then having to drill the screw out.

I rip out the old rubber, it was so old that it just fell apart as I pull it. Then I use a mini blow torch and heat up the screw head, don't heat it until it go red hot....you will melt the screw and you are fuked. I heat it a little and try with the screw driver and heat it a little more. Once you reach the temp where the glue stuff toyota left on the screw thread it start to give and you can screw it out easily.

good luck
