0-60 for stock auto?

Has anybody measured themselves 0-60 for a stock car?

Ideally UK spec (not the official figures please, we all know those)

 

I did a few runs the other day and they were dissapointing, couldn't go below a flat 6 (6.05 to be exact)

 

That was not under ideal conditions, in "overdrive off" mode without powerbraking or anything, and with boost cut kicking in a couple of times (issue soon to be tackled).

 

The times were very consistent, which is good, but I was expecting mid-5s to be honest since it runs 3-4 extra psi on top.

Would hitting fuel cut cost one whole second off 0-60?

 

(but now we're in the realms of 'coulda woulda shoulda', instead of repeatable, accurate measurements)

 

I want to draw a baseline dammit, from tomorrow it will be operating beyond 1 bar, and I won't have proper comparisons...

Now I know you know your stuff so forgive me if my reply seems dull. How many times did the FC happen? And obviously it would hinder acceleration. I'll go back to my room.

During the 6.05 sec run the FC only hit once.

I lowered the manual boost controller to the lowest possible setting (duh!) and tried again. It then started hitting fuel cut 2-3 times in 2nd gear.

I know that these runs are flawed anyway, that's why I asked for figures from other autos to get a rough idea where it stands, before I fit the Thor FCD.

The funny thing is that despite these geological 0-60 times, the 1/4 mile times are fine, low thirteens.

 

Curiouser and curiouser...

 

I'll know in a couple of days the time cost of a fuel cut. I now know the human cost.

 

edit: Since two respected members of the board have seen 5secs from stock autos, that's good enough for me.

 

Another thing I didn't mention is that my 'straight' is slightly uphill, which is fine for comparative purposes among my own figures.

I've also timed other cars there, so I have a feeling of what is fast and what is pap.

Did another couple of 0-60s today, same straight, same time of the day, same boost (1bar), but without the boost cut (FCD fitted)

Good traction, full throttle, what's wrong with the POS?

 

Then I remembered that I had just reconnected the battery, so the ECU had gone back to basics. Bollox, another set of useless timings...

 

If it's slowly&mildly misfiring (IF) what symptoms should I be looking for? This is a very smooth engine, in 4cyls if it misfires you blody know about it, would it be audible here or just some lack of pull at high revs? I'm running colder iridiums, but 1.1mm gaps so I'm not sure what to expect.
