Ok, car is back and i'm still having my leak :(
I thought it may have been something simple like a hose or even my top rad pipe leaking, but i think it's something else. Below are some pictures i've just taken. Anybody want to hazzard a guess on what i should check?? Is the water pump nearby?? Nead to search for my service/repair manual.
The thing that holds the pulley that holds the fan is the water pump (your 4th picture shows it best). Looks like it could be leaking from the bottom. Crank pulley off job to remove it

Does look like a leaky water pump seal.
Can you get the pulley right off without actually removing the water pump itself? It might let you see whether the leak is coming from the pump body or from where it seals to the block.
Water pumps generally leak a little bit because of the kind of seal they use. The design sometimes allows them to leak into a small open chamber, which then evaporates off. When the seal starts to go, the leak rate exceeds the chamber volume and spills out so show you that its time to change the pump. Not sure if this applies to the Supra pump or not.
Crank pulley off job to remove it  Yeah crank pulley off to change the water pump. It's not too bad a job actually, once you get into it. I've had the crank pulley off both my Supras in the last week.
Can you get the pulley right off without actually removing the water pump itself? It might let you see whether the leak is coming from the pump body or from where it seals to the block. Yes. The pulley is only secured by the same four 12mm nuts that hold the viscous coupling on.

Cheers Guys. The cars with Mr. Whiffen tomorrow so maybe when i get back i'll start the job, or wait till Wednesday. Some pictures from underneath down below. do you think it's wise to put a whole new water pump in or just the seal kit?? Wouldn't hurt to fit a new one with it being over 10n years old would it. Anyone have a part number for Mr.T?
Yes thanks you Wayne, i was waiting for that

I never like to say "definitely" when it comes to problem diagnosis until the problem is fixed (and has stayed fixed for a month or so! :looney: ), but in this case, I'm as close to saying "definitely" as I ever get that it's your water pump :)

Cheers guys, where would i be without you
Get the pulley off and have a clear look at the pump body before you commit to buying any new bits. Like Ian says, it does look like a fecked water pump seal, but it pays to have a look before you leap.
There's a lot of water around there. How much of that is from when the pipes were taken off?
The seal I'm speaking about is an integral part of the pump - usually pressed in. If it's gone it means a new pump assembly is required :(

None of the water is from the pipes being removed. There is quite a bit of water coming out, but it seems only when the engine is on.
