Smashed Wing Mirror Thread No.2!!!

Morning all,

Well yesterday morning i came out to find my passenger wing mirror folded in, but not folded in the normal way they should, but the other! I walked to the front of the car and the glass in the mirror was totally smashed and has obviously been punched! From looking down the road every wing mirror on every car had been folded in one way or another!

There was a pile of dripped blood on my bonnet and head light. I walked down the road to the local shop to get some fags and followed this trail of blood on the floor to right outside the shop, this was about 500 m, directly outside the shop lay a huge puddle of blood on the floor, so all i can say is 1. Someone needs to learn to punch! and 2. Hope it fukin hurt!

I tested the electric bits and the mirror still folds in but it seems the electric adjustment for the passenger side does not work.

I'm also gona keep my eye on the other thread as i'm sure that may answer my questions.

but any ideas as to why the electric adjuster doesnt work?

do i need a whole new unit? or just the glass?

Are they the same size for Jap and UK?

I guess my next question is does anyone have a passenger piece of glass they dont want?

PS. how much would you enjoy catching someone doing this????

:( !

Would happily hold you to the glass offer if the other guy doesnt want it.

bummer, anyone else happen to have the electric adjuster bit?

The way it must have been wacked i'm surprised its still even attached to the car. Really need this fixing soon as everytime i walk to the car it just fills me with anger over it. However drunk people get (if they were?), how can they take pleasure in damaging a gorgeous car like this, i mean it was absolutely gleaming. In all my life i have never damaged anyone's car, mine is my pride and joy. I'm sure this was kids who have no idea how much time, money and effort goes into running any car, especially one like this.

Just seen the thread... I haven't had time to check the mirrors yet, but I see you have...and it doesn't fit? Nevermind..

I've got the car in for a service tomorrow at an independant Toyota place, so I'm sure they'll be able to help..

Many thanks again for the offer Peter! top bloke!
