View Full Version : EGBV VSV - Not connected - Why?

Hi,

I've noticed that my EGBV has been bypassed. Some one has (at some point) connected the 'pressure in' to the 'pressure out' hard pipe, bypassing the valve. Anyone have any ideas why this may have been done? Is it something I should worry about?

Cheers.

classic moronic 'mod', I think people at mkiv.com recommend it.

To make turbo #1 run more boost

Is it something I should worry about?
Yes. That extra airflow that is now boosting turbo#1 harder, was meant to be prespooling turbo #2.
Now it's getting a sudden shock everytime it comes online.
Won't last long.

I'm making a page on my website (http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost/supra/turbo.htm) on the subject.
It's not finished yet, but it's meant to explain how the sequential system works, so that idiotic mods like this will become a thing of the past.

I am continously updating that page, along with one next to it describing boost control for the TT.
They cannot be accessed from my front page yet, I'm not even sure how to integrate the supra stuff with the Vaux 'bible'
