HI MARTIN trying to get a deal on EBC disc,s i have put a new thread out on page 1 give this guy a ring the discs r cut and drilled 01908611100 its in the bucks area he looks after my TT good guy its a small jap import place .

I wouldn't go for drilled discs, they are very prone to cracking. The stock discs are the best value for money IMO and hard wearing. Some aftermarket discs are prone to warping and are very expensive in comparison for little/no performance benefit.

Beware if buying Brembo discs, as there are a lot of fakes out there branded and packaged as genuine Brembo's.

I think Vortex recommend the DBA discs, I've no personal experience of these, so may be worth talking to Terry or Mig.

Hi,

Just to give some feed back on this exact setup which I have on my J-spec.

The pads do wear out very quick! I guess the rate of wear will go down as the grooves on the disc wear down. Where I need the stopping power - I don't think there's been much benefit

I'm going for the UK setup with CW pads.

Forgot to add I've been using Project Mu SCR Pro discs on the front of mine for the last 5 years, they are very good quality, lighter than stock and very hard wearing. They are also expensive though, if I was looking for discs now I think I'd probably just fit stock ones.
