jot_ie
I have managed to find a source for toluene here in ireland. However they are quoting a price of €23.50 +vat @21% Thats almost €28.50 for a 2.5 litre tin (edited) Thats almost £10 / litre (roughly) Does this sound right. Seems awfully expensive to be honest Are there different grades of toluene? If so which one is suitable as an additive? John
Gaz Walker
Its very expensive. Very! Its around £2-3 a litre depending on the grade here. Gaz.
Chris Wilson
Ludicrous price, I buy in 205 litre drums. Works out around 6 quid a gallon. Unless anyone wants a LARGE quantity the hassle of selling dribs and drabs is too much though, to make it worth selling it on.
Aerotop Dave
Just looking here and that looks like some sort of laboratory grade stuff you've got there. Gaz's stuff is very cheap. I've got some here that's £7.63 for 1ml. That's £7630 per litre if you want some (so Chris's 205 litre drum would be over £1.5 million )

Chris That kind of pricing or even a bit more would have been what I had in mind. Its a pity I dont have the storage for that kind of large quantity thought. My other problem is that I have to source the bloody stuff here, transportation of dangerous substances etc. Seems like they can charge what they like. Imagine £38,150.00 for the additive and about £50 for the tankful of petrol (per week)
