View Full Version : East Coast Cruise!
Right gentlemen!!
Organising an East Coast Cruise, involving the likes of Scarborough, Bridlington, Filey etc or any other stops anyone would like to suggest?
Gonna involve Ice Cream, Fish n Chips, and maybe a pub lunch too! :friday:
There's some damn fine roads out there so we can have some fun! Meeting at Hull Marina, on 3rd July 2005 at 11.00! Dazsir, Jim and myself will plan a good route for us incorporating some good old twisty's as well as some smooth A Roads for maximum photo op's!
Lets take advantage of the minimal English Summer while we still can! :drown:
Suggesting Sunday 3rd July as it's just after pay day, and we should still be enjoying this rare English Summer!
Names on the list and any suggestions please guys! :blahblah:

Matt are we looking for a 2 day cruise or just the one day, because Jim and I can look into cheap accomadation! If its for two!
:woot:
Probably just 1 day mate! What with work and everything! Plus it's not that far to the coast too so we'll have plenty of time to drive over if we meet at 11 or something! Gives me chance to have a proper nights  too! :p

Guys, come on its a NORTHERN do, round our part of the country, so lets get a few more names involved, Ray, do you good to come to one of these meets for a change as a MOD now or perhaps one of the other Mods in the area !!!!!!!

Gimme some details of when and where your meeting etc matey, I might see if I can make it as I live in Hedon, nr Hull so would be quite convenient :D
Prof. Monkey
20-06-05, 12:36
Ahh Mr Hornet! I live near ASDA Kingswood and Jim lives at Long Riston, so we would meet at my house, as a couple of people might be stopping at mine, so we could drive up together.
I will finalise all the details in the near future and let you know, we could also meet up prior to set up a good couple of routes for the cruise, if you are interested?
Perhaps over a few beers in my garden?
Right guys, lets set this meet in stone! 3rd July, 11 am, by Hull Marina! Drive past the Ice Rink, and you can get down the cobbles right to the Marina's edge!
Hows that for everyone who wants to show up on the Sunday, and as for us party goers, we can sort out Saturday nights pillow hunt and a good meet spot once we know numbers!
Guys, please add your names to the list on first post to confirm attendance, and if interested in Saturday night out too!
Gaz, can you manage to swing the 3rd? (Hows the quote coming BTW? :eyebrows: )

So the plan would be (for me anyway), meet up at Dazsir's house "TIME?" then we convoy to "PLACE?" then we convoy / cruise to "PLACE?"
etc etc...
Sounds like good day to me.. can you fill in my blanks for me and will tell the missis :D she aint gonna like it as Sunday is the only full day we really spend together.. :D

I'm at Max Power then unfortunately Matt. The sunday after is our open day, the sunday after where at the Isle of Mann, sunday after JAE, sunday after TOTB, sunday after USC etc etc!
You have a good time and I'll try and get down there later in the summer!
Should have that sorted tonight mate.

Right sir, So the plan would be (for me anyway), meet up at Dazsir's house "10:00am" then we convoy to "Hull Marina" then we convoy / cruise to "Bridlington/Scarborough/Whitby"
This is a personal note to Mrs Hornet: You will enjoy a sedate cruise, in the lovely countryside, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the busy City.
Followed by tea and scones, at the beach, or perhaps some Fish and Chips!
Sounds like a fun way of spending a sunday, with fellow ladies and gents (my G/F will be with me and Matts, good lady with him!) Plus any Random women that Jim and Darkrider pick up.

:tumble: :ecstatic: could be a few pillow fights as I will be tired from driving approx 400 miles that day, so will need some pillows. !!
:kneel:
I've got to say m8! You may have started a trend with this pillow thing! Could be the next 'Crazy Frog'craze!!! Just think Tom, you could start charging to send pictures of pillows out to hundreds of kids using annoying over played TV adverts!!!

Guys what can I say, it was a pleasure and for some it was painfull!
Others burnt their slap-heads and found new friends.
Some chased each other like crazy animals.
One brought an air of class to the precedings.
IT WAS ACE!!!
CHEERS GUYS
I'm sorry I didn't go, Elvington was a joke.
Ok, no more photo's of me.
And can you please explain your comments!! :stickpoke
:thanks: for the :welcome:
Darren, for the room. Your good lady for being so cool with us all being at your place. :urock:
Andrea for the Breakfast !! :innocent:
Louise and Paul (nee Bert) for your Friendship and fun.
Can't wait til next one at the end of this month !! :notworthy
Loads of Fun, Matt and i had a little fun with a Golf TDi. Then after seperating I was followed at high speed by a GT4, then a few beamers.
And every one waved as they turned off, no animosity just people enjoying the roads and driving !! Perfect end to a Perfect day.
Hope to see more of you at the next one and also hope to see some of you in York on Tuesday night !!
:thanks:
Who brought the air of class???? Had to be the tasty RED one!!
Guys, once again, a TOP BANANA of a day, and preceeding night! Plenty of :friday: and even a spot of 70's dancin!!?? :nana:
Shame we lost the FTO, and hope he finds out what went wrong with his motor? (Keeping up with the big boys obviously hurt the little mitsubishi!)
Loved the roundabouts the best personally, but couldn't seem to lay off the right foot long enough to keep her in a straight line?? :p
Tom, good drive home, and i think we scared that 'little man' in the Golf GTI!! Mind you, getting sandwiched in by two angry Soop drivers, and then having them drive in front of you side by side on a single carriageway for a mile must be pretty daunting! :scare:
Jim, it was nice of you to go steady so we could keep up with you, but i can't understand how i always seemed to be in front of you with your car becoming an ever increasingly small dot in my rear view mirror! :p
Good to meet everyone again, and i hope Hornet didn't get into too much bother for coming out to play!
Andrea! Thanks for the fabulous breakfast, it was just what the doctor ordered this morning!, and Daz, thanks for letting me and Em kip on the 'half blown up' air mattress! (think you and Jim need to practice your puffs!) ;)
See those of you who are attending on Tuesday night at Sherburn! :woot:
Michael, sorry to hear Elvington was no good! Shame you didn't come, it was a good day! Next one ay! :D
you guys ain't logged into MSN !!
Will let you know how much it will cost for my repairs to exhaust :tumble:

The missis was fine, as I got home by the time I said I would, cheers Matt :D
