wkdtime Posted June 9, 2005 Share Posted June 9, 2005 Had the racing medallion installed a few weeks back, it has a very very nice exhaust note better than the blitz i had on my MR2 trubo, but its just not as lould as i thought it would be, i was under the impression that its one of the loudest from reading on this and the US site, i am still yet to go de cat...as both cats are still in place, but am running in TTC! will decat make a difference on the exhaust note? Homer Posted June 9, 2005 Share Posted June 9, 2005 The TTC mod makes a big difference to the sound - it means lots more drone and not a nice sound at all IMO. Decatting does make it burble more and really improves the sound with the sequential system (plus the huge performance increase when done properly) I have an RSR with a Decat, it doesn’t drone and sounds very loud at any speed and has a nice burble to it. I heard Leeky's car last week which has a Tanabe pipe with full decat - very, very nice indeed, it's not quite as loud as the RSR but does sound deeper and IMO delivers a better sound!
