MichaelG
Been at it all day and i feel like a right idiot, but i will be bu66ered if i can figure out how to do it...... Fitting a front drivers side drop link......get the nuts so tight, and then the nut spins all the way through and i cant get it to tighten......theres nothing to hold onto and nothing on the other side of the nut to put a screwdriver in etc.... Is this an air line "quick nip up" job or am i missing something ? Any help appreciated as the car is sitting on 3 wheels and a jack just now lol
Toms Supra
Sounds like you stripped the thread if it keeps going round!?
MichaelG
No its not just the nut.....the nut tightens to a point, but then the whole thing just spins......apparently its common.....but how do you get it to tighten properly onto the bolt ? I feel a bit for not managing.
Jake
Is this like a ball joint thing? If so, you just put some tension on it with a lever between the two arms, this stops the male threaded part rotating, then do the nut up with a windy gun.
