Ashtray Bulb

Does anyone know what type of bulb fits into the ashtray light?Is it a 286? :shrug:

I think the 286 is the onlyT5 wedge you will get in the UK. It is a 1.2 V so will be OK.


The original is a S14V 1.4V, good luck in finding one.

BTW be very careful when you remove the old one as the metal reflector/ housing is only held on with melted plasic lugs. Use firm pressure on the housing, turn the bulb holder and gently pull with some long nose pliers.

You can get 286's in around 10 different colours AFAIK

Can be replaced with an LED/resistor.... oooh, like mine ;)
