Would HKS 264 run on a standard ECU just running decat?
Am very shortly gonna have 650cc injectors and emanage, so in the short term would they work ok or would it be best to leave till emanage is fitted?

Might be better after the e-manage is installed since the 264's are a fair bit more than the std ones

I've used 264s for years (one of my first mods) Don't think they made that much dif with stock/Hybrid turbos, Little more mid and top end but trade a lumpy idle.

mine were fine on stock car. idles 500-600 seems to rev easier and pull harder to me

Hmmm....so your idle was the same as OEM cams? Mine has always hunted between 700-800rpm since the 264's. AFR is also 'hunting' between 13.2 ~14.5. Have been in other cars with similar cams and felt the same.
Any suggestions?

I'm guessing U's idle is set to about 1,000rpm lol...that'll avoid lumpiyness ;)

No Alex .. :limp:

The idle was set at around 850-900rpm.

Mmm,hunting you say? is that on total stock EMS, no piggybacks, stock inj?

AFA aftermarket cams for race engines go, these are still very conservative, even 272s ...

The motor hunts maybe because due to these having longer duration, and slight higher lift(AFAIK), cause maybe some slight reversion at idle, and the stock MAP sensor is very very sensitive, this slight pressure wave/change @ idle, is beyond what toyota set the MAP sensors filteration at .. so,that MAY be what is causing it to hunt.
Also AIT temp sensor is very very sensitive to mintue changes.

ALTHOUGH, I hardly doubt that, in this situation if you had HKS280s in there them that may be a viable theory?

Im just thinking out loud again ... :read:

Yep, Mine is pretty stable at 900 rpm. But as i said originally, you trade a lumpy idle (stock idle rpm)
